Duty ManagerLocation: Manchester
Salary: up to £45,000 plus company car and bonus (dependant on experience)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.30 am to 5.30 pm

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Duty Manager to oversee workshop operations for our client, a leading automotive service provider in Manchester. Our client is a prominent UK-based automotive service provider renowned for its extensive network and commitment to quality vehicle repairs. With a strong presence across the country, they offer a comprehensive range of services, including MOT testing, car servicing, and tyre solutions.
Role Overview – Duty Manager
• This pivotal role involves managing daily operations, ensuring high-quality vehicle repairs, and leading a dynamic team.
• Lead daily workshop activities, ensuring timely and high-quality mechanical and cosmetic repairs.
• Ensure optimal staffing levels, manage absences, and adhere to working time directives.
• Handle escalated customer queries and complaints, ensuring swift and professional resolution.
• Collaborate with the Centre Manager to set and monitor KPIs, identifying areas for improvement.
• Manage the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, performance management, and training.
• Enforce safety standards and address any non-conformances promptly.
Requirements - Duty Manager
• Proven background in a line manager or team leader role within a mechanical or bodyshop environment.
• Strong understanding of vehicle repair processes, both mechanical and cosmetic.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
• Full UK driving licence.
